Talachddu

Talachddu-InsideTalachddu is a village that surrounds its church, and is situated between the Achddu and Dulas Valley. Talachddu is a very small village, comprising of a church, and a few houses. The church looks as though it has been partially built, and appears to be curvilinear indicating a medieval origin. One of the houses called Talachddu House, which is formally known as The Rectory is thought to be the oldest surviving domestic building in the village.

It is beleived  that Talachddu  is named after a stream, and has a meaning : ‘the end (of the stream) Achddu’.

Church service at St Mary’s Church in Talachddu is held at 9.00am on the 1st Sunday after Trinity.
